El 30 de octubre de 1987, el patrullero de la Policia Nacional, (—) de 21 años de edad, el menor de los seis hijos de Don (—) y Doña (—), soltero pero que en el mes de diciembre se casaba, oriundo de Pamplona; en el paraje de la Guavina en la via Tame Betoyes, murió heroicamente a consecuencia de un ataque guerrillero por el E.L.N.
La bandera de Colombia que arropó el féretro de mi tio, desteñida. por los ya 31 aos de pasados los hechos, se acompaña de la Medalla Póstuma al Valor que recibieron mis nonos en la ciudad de Cúcuta.
Ellos orgullosos de su hijo por haber otorgado la cuota hacia la búsqueda de la PAZ en Colombia; pero tristes, porque esperaban que Dios les permitiera tenerlo más tiempo junto a sus vidas, para alegrarlas como solía hacerlo.
Eso perteneció a mi adorado tio, mi inspiración para tomar el camino de servir con orgullo a mi Patria y en la búsqueda de la PAZ, or la cual el dio la vida.

On October 30, 1987, the National Police patrolman, (—), 21 years old, the youngest of six children of Don (—) and Doña I(—), single but who in December was getting married, hailing from Pamplona; in the place of La Guavina in via Tame Betoyes, he died heroically as a result of a guerrilla attack by the E.L.N.
The Colombian flag draped over my uncle’s coffin, faded by 31 years after the events, is accompanied by the Posthumous Medal for Valor that my grandparents received in the city of Cúcuta.
They are proud of their son for having granted the quota towards the search for PEACE in Colombia; but sad, because they hoped that God would allow them to have more time together in their lives, to cheer them up as he used to do.
That belonged to my beloved uncle, my inspiration to take the path of serving my country with pride and in the search for PEACE, for which he gave his life.
